Neurokinin A(4-10) ( )

Catalog No. M30515 CAS No. 97559-35-8

Neurokinin A (4-10) is a tachykinin NK2 receptor agonist. A structure-activity study of the neurokinin A (NKA) fragment NKA(4-10) was performed to investigate the importance of amino acid residues for receptor efficacy, potency and affinity at the NK2 receptor in human colon circular muscle.

  • Brief Description
Neurokinin A (4-10) is a tachykinin NK2 receptor agonist. A structure-activity study of the neurokinin A (NKA) fragment NKA(4-10) was performed to investigate the importance of amino acid residues for receptor efficacy, potency and affinity at the NK2 receptor in human colon circular muscle.
  • Description
Neurokinin A (4-10) is a tachykinin NK2 receptor agonist. A structure-activity study of the neurokinin A (NKA) fragment NKA(4-10) was performed to investigate the importance of amino acid residues for receptor efficacy, potency and affinity at the NK2 receptor in human colon circular muscle.(In Vitro):Neurokinin A (NKA) and its truncated form NKA(4-10) are potent spasmogens of human colon circular muscle, an action mediated exclusively via tachykinin NK2 receptors. A structure-activity study of the neurokinin A (NKA) fragment NKA(4-10) is performed to investigate the importance of amino acid residues for receptor efficacy, potency and affinity at the NK2 receptor in human colon circular muscle. A high density of NK2 receptors has been demonstrated in this tissue, using in vitro autoradiography and radioligand binding.

  • Neurokinin A

Neurokinin A (NKA), formerly known as Substance K, is a neurologically active peptide translated from the pre-protachykinin gene. Neurokinin A (substance K) is a peptide neurotransmitter of the tachykinin family with potential as a major mediator in human airway and gastrointestinal tissues.

  • Hemokinin 1 (human)

Endogenous substance P homolog that is a selective agonist at the tachykinin NK1 receptor (IC50 values are 1.8, 370 and 480 nM for NK1, NK3 and NK2 receptors respectively). Has proliferative and antiapoptotic actions on B-cells in vitro and is antihypertensive in vivo.
